On this page you can find the monthly comments for my portfolio and performance
December: December usually is a good month for stocks. I’m awaiting the results of the Bakkafrost subsequent offering and hope to receive my oversubscription. First two buys in December has as per 6 December already taken place; Visa Inc and added more in Biotage AB.
November: Going into November I’m a bit more cautious than previous months, but I’m still looking for more additions that will complement the holdings. MedTech-companies, IT-consultants companies and some solid investment companies are on my Nordic Focus List. I’m also focusing upon improving investment skills and the processes that I can affect, and updating my self on the companies in my portfolio.
November was a quite eventful month with a lot of Q3 reports, takeover bid of Hemfosa, offloaded my positions in Nekkar and Ocean Yield, bought shares in Biotage, Lerøy Seafood. Bakkafrost also announced the terms of their subsequent share offering and I chose to oversubsribe. The result of the offering and my allocation will we announced in the beginning of December. Furthermore, I participated in the selldown of Equity Capital Certificates in Sparebanken Vest. The YTD performance of the DGI portfolio as per end of November is 36.88%, compared to the VINX Benchmark Net Index NOK YTD performance of 22.89%.
October: The portfolio consists of 26 holdings, up from 22 holdings in September. To check the buys and sells, as well as the reasoning behind my decisions, since last time go to my investment journal.
The dividends keeps rolling into my account from my holdings and I have year to date recorded NOK 18.265 in dividends compared to a total dividend of NOK 11.000 in 2018.
I’m very pleased with the performance so far in 2019, and October has been by far the best month year to date. Almost all my holdings has reported Q3 figures this month and overall there has been very good results, except Wartsila and Ocean Yield.
September: The portfolio consists of 22 holdings, to check the buys and sells since last time go to my investment journal. I’m very pleased with the performance so far in 2019, and I’m way ahead the Vinx Benchmark Net Index NOK. The best performer this month was Eolus Vind and I chose to sell 25% of my holdings. Furthermore, Securitas was added to the portfolio. At the moment I’m satisfied with the current portfolio, but I’m still looking for more additions that will complement the holdings. MedTech-companies, IT-consultants companies and some solid investment companies are on my Nordic Focus List.
1 August 2019: Going into August 2019 my portfolio consists of 21 stocks, mostly Nordic companies but I’ve found room to include three companies from US / Canada. So far 2019 has been good to me. No doubt about that. At the beginning of the year I was confident that stock picking would be the best route going forward. There is still no alternative to the stock market (TINA), but avoiding sectors that underperform and sticking to my investment strategy has awarded me so far with a return of approximately 16.5% (as per 31 July 2019). Relative to the Nordic stock markets (VINX Benchmark Cap Net) I’m ahead almost 6% this year.
